McDonald's FIFA Player Escort

Last Updated: Thursday 4th February, 2010

Interactive agency Tribal DDB leveraged the GLU Platform to power McDonald's FIFA World Cup Player Escort campaign and Flash CMS 'Sticker Challenge' application with User Generated Content ("UGC"), Moderation, Content Management and Delivery.

McDonald's FIFA World Cup Player Escort campaign has just gone live!

The campaign includes a Flash website and application, the Sticker Challenge, where the target audience, children ages 6 - 10, could create a story and sticker book comic strip.

The purpose of creating a story and sticker book comic strip is to submit as an entry to represent Australia at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010 as part of the Player Escort program. The sticker book comic strips can also be downloaded and printed to keep by the children.

The Flash application, The Sticker Challenge, includes a step-by-step process where children first create an avatar and story, before creating their comic strip through a drag-and-drop, image mashup, ecard style application. The GLU Platform looks after the children's submissions, library assets and Flash CMS requirements.

The Flash website includes deep-linking capabilities whereby specific pages could be bookmarked and was content management through the GLU Platform.
